So Saturday the 13th my Phantom 4 Pro Plus Obsidian had a sudden, catastrophic power failure about 12.5ft in the air; cruising about 2.5-3.5mph. This video shows the the footage before the accident; as well as my experience thus far with DJI. I will make a follow up video on how they handle my case and what they do to fix the situation. My drone is only 3 months old; well within the 1YR manufacturers warranty offered by DJI. I was a STRONG believer in most accidents resulting from pilot error; having had my accident, I can honestly say this was 100% not my fault. This fundamentally changes how I view other people’s accidents. I do apologize for the footage not containing the actual crash because the drone itself had power failure, resulting in the camera not working when it fell to the ground. I really hope to be treated fairly from DJI and will create an update video with the results. Only advise I can give if you suffered a power failure is to NOT trust the battery you were using at the time of your accident.
