South Yuba State Park north of Auburn California in Nevada City has got the single best swimming spot in California. It features crystal clear, perfect temperature waters during the summer and is having a surge of popularity the more that it is known. Weekends can be a bit crowded, but if you can manage to come during a weekday you can get most of these watering holes to yourself. The wonderful thing about this swimming hole is if it is full, you can just as easily walk down a few hundred yards and claim another similar type swimming spot for your own party. I figured with the rain today, this video is a great upload. I cannot wait until it is summer again.
